Workshop via Zoom: Understanding and Addressing Implicit Bias in Juvenile Court Hosted by Kinda Abus-Saboor and Tiffany Young
This workshop will explore stereotypes, implicit bias, microaggressions, and intersectionality, recognizing that identifying these concepts and behaviors is the first step to eliminating them. Isms are ways of othering people and are forms of discrimination that can occur on a personal or institutional level. If we want our courts to be inclusive, we must understand the subtle and not-so-subtle ways we discriminate consciously and unconsciously.
