In Service Workshop: Expanded Healing Invisible Wounds: The Neurobiology of Trauma and Post-Trauma Response Hosted by The New Jersey Victim Assistance Academy
Trauma leaves a lasting imprint on the brain of the survivor, but healing is possible. This training will provide basic information about the impact of trauma on the brain, and how traumatic experiences affect memory and behavior. The aftermath of trauma, including Acute Stress Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Rape Trauma Syndrome will also be examined.
